  • 5mm LEDs x22
  • heart-shaped circuit board
  • LM358 op amp
  • S8050 transistor
  • 22Ω resistor
  • 10KΩ resistor
  • 47KΩ resistors x3
  • 100KΩ resistor
  • 47uF electrolytic capacitor
  • 50KΩ potentiometer
  • power switch
  • microUSB port for power
  • red & black wires

Separate the ends of your red & black wires and strip 1/4″ insulation from each wire end.

We recommend using lead-free solder, with your soldering iron set to 280°C–285°C. Higher temps may damage the components.

On one end, solder the red wire to VCC on the microUSB port and solder black to GND.

On the other end, solder the red wire to the positive (+) terminal next to “DC4–6V” on your circuit board and solder the black wire to the negative (-) terminal.

In contrast to the instructions below, we’ve been soldering on the LM358 integrated circuit last to avoid damaging it.

Installation Steps & Illustration
Step 1
Install Resistor: R3 = 100K; R5 = 22ohm; Step 2 Install 3 pcs 47K resistor on R1, R2, R4
R6 = 10K
Step 3 Install LM358. Note direction!
Step 4 Install 22pcs LED. Note direction!
Step 5 Install S8050 and Potentiometer.
Step 6 Install power switch. Note direction!

You can turn the potentiometer (blue and white component) with a small screwdriver to adjust the oscillation rate.
