DESCRIPTION:For the Philly Bookstore Crawl on Saturday\, August 26th\, we’re hosting an all-day workshop called Draw with Code: An intro to turtle graphics using Python. Stop by any time from 12 to 8 p.m. and learn to use Python Turtle\, a drawing tool based on the educational programming language Logo. All ages and experience levels are welcome\, and computers are provided. Everyone who attends will get a free zine and sticker! \nWe’ll also be giving out of free Philly Bookstore Maps\, as well as copies of Highlights and Blackouts by Heather Bowlan. \n➡️ Here’s a link to the zine\, including a printable PDF \nThe Philadelphia Bookstore Crawl is a yearly (at least\, that’s the plan!) celebration of Philadelphia’s wildly vibrant and wonderful bookstore scene\, the last Saturday of every August. This year’s will take place on Saturday\, August 26th. \nThe concept is simple. On the date of the crawl\, at the end of the summer\, participating bookstores around town are hosting unique and special events. Discounted books? Exciting giveaways? In-store author signings? You’ll see! \nThere’s no specific trail to follow. No route. Just a bundle of bookshops around town\, all doing something special on one given day. Though who knows.
