Ever been curious as to how your home WiFi works? Maybe you’ve heard of an IP address, but don’t really know where to start. Maybe you want to know why your IP address can tell a website where you live? If any of these apply, this event is for you! This is a beginner-focused event which will go introduce attendees to what an IP Address is, IP address types, the components of an IP address, how IP addresses are distributed, and how these apply to the way you use the internet or any other IP-based network. This session’s focus is IPv4 addressing and protocols that leverage it, but there is some IPv6 content as well.
