🪐 Speculative Futures Reading Group: “The Ones Who Walk From Omelas” by Ursula Le Guin

Our June Le Guin will be the short story “The Ones Who Walk From Omelas,” which we’ll read alongside NK Jemisin’s “The Ones Who Stay and Fight” and Isabel J. Kim’s “Why Don’t We Just Kill the Kid in the Omelas Hole.” All three stories are available at this list; there are a number of stories in dialogue with Omelas at the link, read as many as you like. Because there’s no book to purchase, I would ask that you donate some money to the store.

Our July book is Ada Hoffman’s new Ignore all Previous Instructions, and we’ll wrap up our summer with Louise Erderich’s Future Home of the Living God in August.
